The cost of your lodging will depend upon the length of time you plan to stay.

For our short-term students (less than 6 months) there are Inn's available with short-term apartments current rate is $175/week plus tax with a $150 refundable deposit (all utility bills are included in the weekly price and for residence staying more than one month the tax is refundable). If you are two or more sharing the same apartment there is an additional fee of $50/week.

If you will be coming for a longer period of time (6 months or more) there are several apartment complexes within short driving distance from the airport. These apartments offer everything from studio apartments (approximately $400/month) to three bedroom apartments (approximately $800/month). Most complexes will require a $100-$200 refundable deposit and a $50 application fee. These apartments come unfurnished so you will be required to purchase your own furniture. The basic furniture needed can be bought for less than $500, and can be resold when you leave. You will also need to buy personal items such as shower curtains, cooking utensils, linens etc.). Since Texas is warm almost year round, virtually every apartment complex has a swimming pool. They also have a laundry room and some may even have a tennis court.

If you wish for us to arrange for an apartment to be placed on hold for you before you arrive, the deposit, application and application fee must to be forwarded in advance. This will speed up the application process and save you some hotel expenses. Your paperwork usually is processed within 5 days after arrival. However, if you would like to look around on your own when you get here, you should count on spending 7 to 10 days in a hotel ($55/day).
